A single sash window with transom combines one operable tilt-and-turn sash with one fixed window. Tilt-and-turn windows function similarly to casement windows but open inward, allowing for controlled ventilation or full opening. Unlike traditional casement windows, which typically open outward in a single mode, tilt-and-turn windows use a dual-function hardware system that offers two operating positions.
